Michelle Filippone, M.Ed., has worked as a diverse learner teacher in Chicago Public Schools for 8 years. She earned her B.A. in Special Education from Illinois State University in 2015 and her M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2020. She has both her Learning Behavior Specialist I and II certifications and specializes in behavior intervention, transition, and curriculum adaptation. In addition to working as a public school teacher and learning specialist with Cognitive Solutions, Michelle volunteers with CASA of Cook County as a court appointed advocate for children in the Cook County welfare system. Michelle has worked extensively with a wide range of ages and disabilities including ADHD, Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities and mood disorders.
