With over two decades of experience, Jim has dedicated his career to transforming the lives of children and adults facing social, emotional, and learning challenges.
Jim’s journey began in a therapeutic day school, where he honed his skills working with children across a spectrum of difficulties. His passion for helping others led him to conduct school in-service programs, empowering educators with knowledge and strategies for supporting students with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, and executive dysfunction.
A true innovator in education, Jim has played a pivotal role in developing and modifying curricula for students with diverse learning needs, both in traditional and home school settings. His expertise in the Instrumental Enrichment program of cognitive restructuring and training in the Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory reading approach make him a sought-after specialist in the field.
Currently serving as the lead executive functioning specialist at Cognitive Solutions LC, Jim works closely with students and adults to enhance their executive functioning skills. His unique holistic approach, blending visualization techniques and targeted interventions, has proven remarkably effective, helping countless individuals unlock their full potential.
